It’s been a while now since I’m off the pills… to be accurate it been exactly five months…
It took most of my energy to stay focused and pass this transition time until today…
During this time there were ups and downs… even couple of times I thought I needed an anger management program J lol…
But as the time passes I seem everything is stabilizing and slowly I and my brain or body gets used to the new situation…
I want to apology for “disappearing” on you guys for a while but I also sure you understand how it’s like when you can’t even bring yourself to stay focus and post something…
I want to address some of your comments and feedbacks in this post…and once again thank you all for sticking around…
So, where were we?

I’m 5 months off the pills now.
As you already know I’m married…
And my wife is pregnant (week 12)…
And I’m buying a house… so I had to take mortgage and loans to make that happened.
You can imagine that buying a house, take loans, quitting the pills and having a baby all at the same time is…time consuming and also brain power consuming… J

These things worked to an extent, but I'm finding I needed a bit more 'help' than what they were offering. Deciding to start meds seems like such a massive decision to me...but a necessary one. It's hearing stories like yours that give new-to-meds people like me the perspective we need to move past the 'temporary' (the side effects), and into the 'consistent'.

Perhaps your attitude towards your father should change, it's his mind and his life. If he needs the help, he should get it and be supported. To say he "just has anxiety" is one of the stupidest things I've heard.
Read this man's blog and you will see that yes, cipralex does work. Perhaps your controlling and judgemental attitude is contributing to your father's anxiety/depression. As if there isn't enough stigma and personal struggle around depression and anxiety, then you need to judge your own father who clearly needs help.
To all who are just starting to take Cipralex I just wanted to let you know that I have been on the drug for 3 years almost. It has changed my life 360 degrees for the better. Yes I did have side effects in the start but they slowly stopped. It took a good 5 months until I saw higher effects of the drug but man did it ever save me. I have nothing but positive things to say about the drug and if anyone has any question please do no hesitate to write me.
